  • SHANN SMITH (Playwright)

Shann (they/them) was born and raised their entire life in the South before moving to NYC, giving up on acting, and pursuing writing full time with some occasional producing here and there! Since doing so, they've produced some Shakespeare, their own work, and gotten a pretty sweet gig writing games and stories for mythology-loving kiddos. Some of their proudest achievements are an artist residency at the late Broad Views on Broadway, and getting to see kids across the country play their game, Mytho. Shann is thrilled to be working with Company of Fools on this show, having been a longtime fan of their work, and is super excited for everyone to see this incredibly personal show.

Shann's favorite superhero is Kate Pryde of the Marauders (formerly the X-Men)! If you know, you know.
